Trying… Or Striving?

Trying or Striving?
There is a difference.
Trying is a willing heart that says,
“Lord, I’ll take the next step.”
Striving is a weary heart that says,
“I have to earn what God has already given by grace.”
Trying leaves room for growth, mistakes, and dependence on God.
Striving demands perfection, control, and constant performance.
God never called us to strive for our identity.
He invites us to abide in His presence.
From that place of abiding, growth becomes the fruit of relationship—not the reward for relentless effort.
Stop striving to become who you think you should be.
Instead, rest in Christ and become who He created you to be.
🌸“Remain in Me, and I will remain in you… for apart from Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:4–5
